Privacy & Trust

Good technology help depends on trust. You decide what to share and whether you receive weekly emails. Here is where your information goes.

Your question is private by default. Asking for help does not sign you up for marketing or give permission to publish your question.

What you share, and why

  • Weekly guides: your email address lets Cover Guide send the guides you request and manage your subscription.
  • Questions: your question and email address let Royal reply. Your first name is optional.
  • Communities: your name, email and organization help Royal support your community. Approximate audience size is optional. Weekly community emails are a separate choice.

Keep private details out

Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, or private medical or financial records.

Where your information goes

Squarespace hosts this website and its forms and stores signup and submission information. Question and community notifications go to Cover Guide’s business email inbox, provided through Google. Squarespace Email Campaigns stores email subscriptions and sends welcome messages and weekly guides.

Videos play through Vimeo or YouTube. Forms use Google reCAPTCHA to reduce spam. These services process information under their own privacy policies: Squarespace and Google and YouTube, and Vimeo.

Website and email activity

Squarespace provides website traffic reports, such as visits and pages viewed. Email Campaigns reports delivery, opens and link clicks. These reports help Royal understand which guides people use. Email opens are estimates and may be affected by your email app’s privacy settings.

Squarespace, Vimeo, YouTube and Google may use cookies or similar technologies to operate their services, measure activity and reduce spam. You can manage cookies in your browser. Blocking them may affect videos or forms.

Your choices stay separate

Giving your email address lets Royal answer your question. It does not sign you up for marketing. Newsletter signup is optional.

Your question is used to help you. It is not published.

Real help, from a real person

Royal reviews and answers questions personally. This Ask form has no automated AI answer service connected. If AI assistance is introduced later, this explanation and any necessary choices will be updated before that use begins.

Unsubscribe or stop replies

Use the unsubscribe link in a weekly email to stop those emails. To end a conversation, just say so in your reply, or email royal@cover.guide.

Corrections, deletion and keeping information

Email royal@cover.guide to correct your details or request removal of a question or contact information. Include enough detail to identify your request, without sending sensitive documents. Royal may need to confirm that the information belongs to you.

Submission information can remain in Squarespace and the business inbox until it is removed. A deletion request needs to be checked in both places; this page does not promise immediate removal from provider backups.
